Google launches site to help those with hacked web sites

18th March 2013

Google recently launched a new website packed full of information to help webmasters and businesses recover from having their website hacked.

The new site features a wide range of information, including articles and videos, aimed at helping website administrators identify, diagnose and recover from various hacks. It's also packed full of preventative measures, pointing out site vulnerabilities and highlighting common ways in which websites are compromised.

The launch of the new Help for Hacked Sites resource is also being used as a platform for Google to remind website owners of good practice, demonstrating that keeping all site software updated by patching, keeping up to date with current system news and researching third party applications and plug-ins will all help with keeping a site secure.

The new site is a fantastic resource for small businesses and webmasters, but if you're looking expertise tailored to your needs and business, contacting VPW your local North Devon IT and computer support company is also a great way to make sure your business stays safe.

As one of our new customers discovered when they turned to us after having a number of IT issues unresolved by a previous supplier, they'd fell victim to a number of hack attacks leaving them at risk and sensitive data available to the world.
