DNS Management is an essential part of every domain name. Every domain name registered must be assigned to at least 2 DNS Servers. Unfortunately, DNS is often seen as unimportant to an operations web site, but in reality, it is critical. Without DNS nobody will find you site, know where to send mail to your organisation plus many other side effects.
Our DNS Management facilities are currently offered in 2 forms:
If you want to register Domain Names, but don't want to operate your own DNS Servers, this service is for you. All of our customers registering domain names (separately or bundled) through us automatically receive our Primary DNS Service, unless otherwise requested. You would receive use of our entire DNS Service, including both PRIMARY and SECONDARY Zone Servers (in fact, we offer at least 4, up to 8 DNS Servers), which includes our Global resilience option.
From £40.00 per Annum (excluding VAT) for 25 Zones. Larger and Smaller volumes available via request with attractive volume discounts.
If you already operate your own Primary DNS Server, and either need a secondary server to meet the minimum requirement of 2, want to ensure you can handle extensive DNS load, or simply want to ensure resilience in your DNS resolution, our Secondary DNS Services is for you. Offering the ability to receive all standard, RFC compliant DNS Zones, replicated to up to 7 other DNS Servers, and our Global resilience option, it offers a reliable, scalable DNS Service.
