Secondary DNS is a service that allows you to use our Domain Name (DNS) Servers to hold copies of the records relating to your domain name. Most useful to protect you against the failure of your own (typically known as Primary Servers), either through hardware, software or loss of the physical site that holds the DNS.
It is also useful where your domain name is heavily referenced and thus needs reliable and scalable service to keep it resolving.
How much does it cost for Secondary DNS Services?
Our Charging Structure is simple, with a Per-Annum Charge of £6.00 for every 5 Domain Names you want to secondary with us. Bulk Discounts are available for large volumes of domain names.
How much DNS do I get from you?
When you take our Secondary DNS Services, we guarantee we'll provide no less than 3 different servers that hold your DNS Zone, in addition to those you already have as a Primary Server. We honour your TTL and Expiry data, so recommend you allow at least 10 days for our servers to keep operating in the event you experience a failure.
