How much usage do I get with my broadband service?

Our current Broadband offers come in several package options. For our standard business broadband service, there is a Bronze, Silver and Gold package, plus options for those customers who can receive Fibre.

Your package will include a guideline amount. This is the expected maximum usage of your line in any given calendar month. We set these rules because it is not feasible to provide genuinely unlimited broadband that is suitable for business use in a sensible way. There is a large difference in how business users consume internet bandwidth vs consumer (home user) usage, as well as the way they want the services to work.

Please check your original Order/Quote for the package and usage allowances that apply - or you can contact Customer Services.

If you use the amount we expect as a maximum for some reason, we'll do one or more of the following:

* Restrict the speed of your service
* Restrict the amount of bandwidth you can use (and/or the speed)
* Charge you for additional usage at a Per GB rate (rounded up)
* Suspend your Broadband (we try and avoid this normally)
* Regrade you to the next service tier

Where possible we'll alert you if your usage is unexpectedly high. However we receive delayed data from systems, and may not always be able to do this.

Please remember that our Business Broadband services are not designed for "consumer" style usage - while we don't actively block any services, they are not optimised for use with gaming services, peer to peer and other typically consumer usage.
