Windows 10 - End of Life Options
In theory, you could carry on using Windows 10 for the foreseeable with no changes. However, as time goes by you will eventually find software stops supporting it and no more updates are given. Our support will be more limited in these scenarios and we will not be able to guarantee support or compatibility.
Importantly too, you will not get Security Updates to help keep your computer secure and data safe from Microsoft for Windows.
There are some options however that will allow us to give you additional time to use Windows 10 via an ongoing security updates option. This is typically chargeable for business computers, but does provide an option to remain secure and lengthen your migration window - especially useful if your computer cannot run Windows 11.
Depending on the computer, variant of Windows 10 and installation type, we may be able to offer you either:
1) Up to 12 months updates (from November 2025 to October 2026) for a one time administrative cost to setup the service, per computer. This will not involve you signing up for subscriptions or changing how your computer works. This option is available typically to customers with a standalone system. You can't get updates beyond 12 months with this option, so by October 2026 you'll need to replace the computer(s) or become insecure. In some cases this will be the only option available to you. Customers wishing to take advantage of this option can have us make those arrangements from September 2025.
2) Most customers can also choose up to 3 years of updates (from November 2025 to October 2028) for an annual fee, which increases each year, on a per computer basis, plus an initial setup charge. You can sign up on a per-year basis, up to 3 years. This option is required for customers with servers or other inter-connected network setups. Customers wishing to take this option could let us know as soon as possible, and we'll begin providing the costs and completing registrations in October 2025.
We strongly recommend customers whose computers are not suitable for, or can't update to Windows 11 remain on Windows 10 with one of the security update options above, rather than simply not get updates. Security is not an idle threat, it's a real issue and we see more and more cases of compromise.
If you are a customer that has any legal, compliance or regulatory controls, you will likely be REQUIRED to keep systems secure, and customers who have 'Cyber Insurance' will likely find this is a requirement for that cover to be valid too.
