Microsoft Office 2013 on Agility Cloud Desktop

The new Agility Cloud Desktop v2 will include Microsoft Office 2013 when it launches on 1st March. Find out what's changing, what new features there are and how you can benefit. Remember, as long as you're an Agility Desktop customer with Microsoft Office Standard or Professional, you'll get this upgrade automatically...

Introducing Microsoft Office 2013...

The most obvious change to existing customers who have Microsoft Office included will be that you'll no longer have Microsoft Office 2007, but will be using the very latest Microsoft Office 2013.

This is a significant upgrade and change from the current version - it comes with a huge range of improvements, as well as a new interface designed to reduce clutter and make it easier to work. To help you get the most of it, we've prepared a guide to new software and features:

New: Microsoft OneNote

All customers who have Microsoft Office included in the Agility Desktop subscription will now get Microsoft OneNote. This is a "digital notebook" that lets you keep notes, to-do lists, add snippets from web pages, images and so on in one place. You can organise your notes in different "notepads" each with sections and pages within them.

Upgraded: Microsoft Word:

Word has loads of new features and improvements - here are a few:
- Open PDF in Word - you can just open PDF's and they'll be converted to editable Word files
- New "layout" control for inserted images helps prevent the "disappearing images" issues
- Alignment Guides - it's now easier to line up images, tables and text
- Carry on where you left off - word remembers where you were in a document when you open it

Upgraded: Microsoft Excel

With Excel, there are no shortage of improvements and for power users the Slices and Pivotcharts and PowerPivot (only available if you have Agility Desktop with Microsoft Office Professional) make life easier. Plus there are lots of smaller changes to make creating spreadsheets faster.

Upgraded: Microsoft PowerPoint

PowerPoint has come of age - it now understands widescreen format displays so your presentations look right on modern screens and projectors, and is smarter when lining up objects so your presentations can look professionally finished rapidly
